The “Golden Arrow” with Major Seagrave driving set the record in 1929 at Daytona Beach where it achieved 230 mph. The car was designed by J S irving and was powered by the 900 hp racing version of the Napier Lion aero engine. The car only ran once and is now in the National Motor Museum at Beaulieu.
